One More 'Up in the Air' Trailer
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 2:46PM
We're a third of the way through the Winter of Clooney; George's Men Who Stare at Goats opened last weekend, and considering it's not getting rave reviews, the film is actually doing pretty well. It will make its money back, which is always a positive start. Fantastic Mr. Fox is next, but I think most people following the awards season are waiting for Up in the Air.

In a discussion about what has really good odds to pick up Oscar nominations, I put this in the upper tier for Best Picture, Director, Actor, Screenplay, and Supporting Actress. And because it's so wide open right now, any movie with good odds in November probably isn't going to fade in December. In other words, there will be a few flicks voters would have to move out of the race, and that's difficult to do even in a very competitive year.
A new trailer for Up in the Air, including some new clips and some familiar ones, along with critical praise, has made its way online. Take a look:
This is not the most convincing one of the bunch; for that, watch the very first teaser, released back in September. But to a large degree, I think the pitch has already been made here, and this new trailer bakes in those Time quotes just to keep it fresh.

can't come soon enough
Can't get excited about it if the studio just issues takedown notices. :(
