Bid to Tour the Griffith Observatory with Spock
Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00PM
If you've got a little money to spend, you can take a tour of the legendary Griffith Observatory led by the one and only Leonard Nimoy. I doubt he'll put the ears on, but it's still Spock and it's still space...the final so-and-so.

Nimoy is the grand prize in a new auction from Charity Buzz (by way of Live for Films), and the highest bidder and a guest get their run of the place with the Vulcan, which would have to be kind of surreal. Details are below. Incidentally, if you don't know the Griffith Observatory, it's been a location in several movies, figuring prominently in Charlie's Angels 2 and Yes Man, and is one of the more recognizable landmarks in Los Angeles.

The Griffith Observatory is an icon of Los Angeles, a national leader in public astronomy, a beloved civic gathering place, and one of southern California’s most popular attractions. Here is your chance to see it with the one and only Leonard Nimoy! The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, just above the Los Feliz neighborhood. It is 1,134 feet above sea level and is visible from many parts of the Los Angeles basin.Enjoy an exclusive tour of this iconic observatory with the one and only Leonard Nimoy! Terms: Includes: a private tour of Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. Valid for two people, for one year, based on a mutually agreeable time. Just to see the Griffith Observatory would be a cool excursion. Of course, I think you can almost always do that for free, but not with Leonard Nimoy. For that, you need to bid at least $6,200, according to where the auction is now.
