Christina Ricci's On the Slab in New 'After.Life' Poster

In the upcoming After.Life - which contains that superfluous period in the title - Liam Neeson plays a funeral director who isn't just creepy on that basis, oh no. In fact, he can talk to the dead, preparing them for their journey to the other side. How comforting to have Aslan guide you through that difficult transition.

I like the new poster, especially the Night Shyamalan touch with the red négligée. You can't make it out here because the central image is so small, but that's Christina Ricci, who "wakes up" after a car accident in Liam's funeral home.

I suppose what happens next is that Ricci fights for her life, evaluates her decisions, and fears that if she can't correct her course, she'll be buried alive. I suppose that because the phrase "buried alive" comes up a lot when you read about this movie, so maybe Ricci is only mostly dead, to quote Miracle Max, and the only reason to have her in that state is so she can snap out of it or...not.

Anyway, the poster's kind of neat. No release date yet, though.

Just wondering if this movie is a remake of the exquisite 1998 Japanese move, After Life:
