'Fantastic Mr. Fox' Web Content is...Well, Fantastic

Some cool stuff from the official Fox Searchlight site for Fantastic Mr. Fox. I wish I'd known about it sooner, because it's got some concept art (which you should be able to enlarge but can't) and a lot of video - trailers, featurettes, and the like.

The film actually debuted this past weekend in four theaters and did huge business for those four theaters, taking in over a quarter-million in three days. But in advance of its wider release this weekend, you might want to check out Foxes Dig Deeper to see a little bit more about how Wes Anderson brought Roald Dahl's book to life. Or at least to stop-motion.
As we detailed last week, it's one of the 20 films officially submitted for Best Animated consideration. Tough field this year, and I'm glad to see more than just three monstrous blockbusters in the running. If you're inerested in using something from the film as your wallpaper, we grabbed this from the site, so feel free; it's much larger than this in its native habitat.

Wes Anderson should film Roald Dahl's The BFG next.
I'd love to see how he coped with the frobscottle scene!
