Three New Clips of Viggo and Charlize in 'The Road'

What a difference a year makes...8,760 little hours. Yep, it was about a year ago that we learned The Road had been shooed away from a late 2008 release date to some undetermined point in 2009. That point is November 25th, so it's a little hard to ramp up the excitement for another go-round with this one, even though the reviews have been pretty solid on the whole.

There are a few clips from The Road with Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron that have been released, and if you watch them in sequence, you'll see how the world around them deteriorates without seeing the cause. But I like that each of the clips is distinctive from the next, which helps illustrate how the planet slips into its apocalypse, so credit should be given to director John Hillcoat for at least that much.

We don't see a whole lot of action, here, which is markedly different from the trailers (and the book), so don't expect to see Viggo and Charlize flying a Cessna through a volcanic eruption or anything.
