Some 'Batman 3' Announcement Coming in January
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 7:29AM
Film School Rejects picked up a story from Batman-on-Film regarding the third movie Christopher NOlan's turn at the plate. If you're new around here, we chronicled all the bad Batman 3 rumors so far not too long ago. To sum up: Right now, there's no third movie.

But the assumption has been for a while that Nolan would return to possibly wrap up the series, and why not? A kajillion dollars on The Dark Knight and absolute, complete control over the next movie, which should also be earth-shattering. However, there's been nothing official. That word, apparently, might be coming in January.
That's when Batman-on-Film says Warner Bros. and Nolan have scheduled a major announcement about the film, and odds are if Nolan weren't directing it he wouldn't be a part of the announcement. And first thing's first when you're working from a clean slate, so we might get some idea on when the film will go into production or perhaps when it will be released. If it's the latter, I'll go ahead and say Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
Why the wait? Well, you've got to figure this will take a year from beginning to end, you've also got to figure that there's still no script since Nolan's been working on Inception, and you've got to figure that since that film cost $200 million, he's not taking his eye off the ball to work on a Batman movie that's almost guaranteed to be a hit anyway. So with those factors, the script doesn't start until late summer 2010, meaning production is at least three months from that point (but probably much, much longer). So, that puts the start of the production into 2011, and summer 2011 is already exploding with big movies and superhero fare, and let's not forget that the final Harry Potter movie opens on that third July weekend, which is Warner's cash cow.
What I don't think we'll hear in January is what villain they'll use and all that stuff. Expect news on that later on next year. But if this news is reliable, we should hear that the movie is definitely moving forward. We'll just have to wait a while to get it.

Yay. An announcement of an announcement. I love getting those from video game developers, the only thing I had wished was that the movie studios would do the same.
/sarcasm
I'll be happy as long as the announcement is that Chris Nolan is definitely directing... and wasn't there the same kind of announcement of an announcement for the Hobbit that we never got?
i can wait, but only for nolan

I'm not sure.... you do know that the Hobbit is in production, though, right? Peter Jackson is attached to the project as producer, and Guillermo del Toro is directing. Ian McKellen is back as Galdalf the Grey. Any more info and you'll have to Google it. :]
Gandalf, even.
And it wasn't Vince, it was "Anybody!" Go ahead, tell me how much I suck! I can take it! <lol>
I'm gonna go hide my keyboard before I get myself into any more trouble.

i think nolan will defo return as the director. if he wasnt WB would have made a annoucement about the new batman movie with a different director in place.. theres too much money to be made from this.
We can just imagine about such great skills in thesis topic referring to this topic creating. We ordinarily take the support of the trustworthy thesis writing service. In my situation that sutes me perfectly.
