Weekend Recap - 'Paranormal,' 'This Is It,' 'Mad Max'
Monday, November 2, 2009 at 5:13AM
Michael Jackson's This Is It was the number one movie of the weekend, but its box office performance was kind of like watching a heavily favored football team eke out a win over an outmatched opponent with a last minute field goal. Not a great opening weekend, and I don't know what else it could be other than Jackson overload since his death in late June.

The other big news is also box office related: Paranormal Activity is now the most profitable film ever made. That's a luxury you can enjoy when you make a movie for $15,000 and have one of the world's most powerful movie studios distribute it for you. We've got more details on both of those stories, Mad Max 4, and more, so read on.
