Another New Poster for Viggo's 'The Road'

Here's another awards-friendly poster update from The Weinstein Company. John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Road finally arrives in select theaters this weekend, with Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, and young Kodi Smit-McPhee. The new poster features a splashy quote from Peter Travers of Rolling Stone.

We know the history on this one by now, and I sure hope the one year this one spent on IR was worth it. The Weinsteins gambled wisely that The Reader belonged in last year's Oscar race and marshaled all of its resources behind that one film. It's a little bigger, broader effort this year, with The Road, A Single Man, Inglourious Basterds, and Nine all vying for one thing or another.
