First Look at the Fourth (and Final) 'Shrek'

We have our first look at the fourth Shrek movie - Shrek Forever After - courtesy of USA Today. That's the big green ogre below and, apparently, Clay Aiken?

It's a slightly more realistic look than previous versions of Shrek, and there's a good reason for that: The fourth movie will be in 3-D. A lot of that going around these days. And that's not Clay Aiken but rather Rumplestiltskin, who has made brief appearances before in the series. The character will not have a celebrity voice, but is instead brought to life by Walt Dohrn from the Shrek story department.

The May 21, 2010 release date is also the last time we'll have a new Shrek feature in theaters, according to the article. Of course, there's also the Puss in Boots movie with Antonio Banderas, which has been in the works for years now, but DreamWorks is retiring one of the most successful animated franchise ever, and four seems to be a good number, especially since Shrek the Third was not very good. But there's still enough here to build on, I think, to deliver a good parting shot.
