Guttenberg Stoked for 'Three Men and a Bride'

Everything that goes around comes around, or so they say, which is why - after you take that first hit of air after having the wind knocked out of you - another Three Men and a Baby movie is not terribly shocking. Steve Guttenberg spilled the beans to WENN about the threequel, and he is characteristically enthusiastic.

"Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride," says the former Dancing with the Stars contestant. Let's face it: The girl would be in her early 20s now, and they can build in this whole sub-plot about how The Gutt quit working to be a stay-at-home dad. Hard to find evidence to the contrary.

"That's going to be a smash. A smash hit," continued Guttenberg. "They're bringing everybody back for that. Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it." You sure are, Steve. You sure are.

I'm not positive it would be a smash, but it would sure be cheap to make. And if they play their cards right, everyone might go rent the VHS for two or three days to catch a glimpse of that ghost...of the Ted Danson lifesize standee. Viral marketing, baby: Catch it!

Guttenberg also says he'd love to see another Cocoon, and while we're at it, one more Police Academy flick. "They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about."

We'll presume he's serious, because Guttenberg is awfully optimistic by nature. But I beg to differ that Police Academy movies made the world a better place for anyone by Michael Winslow.

Someone should sit down with The Gutt and explain to him what a "Smash hit" and "Surefire hit" is, because it seems to me that he throws those phrases around fairly easily.
