Uwe Boll Squeezes 'BloodRayne' from a Turnip

I think you should just go ahead and ask Kristanna Loken out. Clearly, she'll say yes to just about anything. Director/pugilist/laughingstock Uwe Boll says Loken will return for yet another BloodRayne movie. Seriously: They're not done making BloodRayne movies. Somehow.

Boll tells DreadCentral that BloodRayne 3: Warhammer, which might be the greatest album title Armored Saint never used, will shoot beginning in January. Also, we'll have Nazis this time around. Can it get any better? Can it get more Uwesque? I think not.

Now, let's rewind for a minute here and look at the track record of these films, to say nothing of Boll's unbelievable losing streak. To my knowledge, he has never made a film that generated a profit, at least not since he started making movies in the US. I simply don't know how anyone hires him anymore. His movies aren't $1 million each in a lot of cases, and yet his biggest box office was $13 million. All he does is lose money.

Anyway, keeping it on point, the first BloodRayne had a $25 million price tag and worldwide made back about $3.7 million. That's about an 85% loss. How could there be a sequel? There was, it cost $10 million, replaced Loken with Nastassia Malthe, and appears to have only been released in Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, where it also failed to make a lot of money.

And now there's a third one? There's almost nowhere left to deny him release dates anymore. And who's waiting for this, exactly?

I think he aims at the third world countries, that's how he manages to survive.

Seriously, HOW DOES THIS GUY KEEP GETTING FINANCING TO MAKE MOVIES!?!?! At one point you could say that yes, House of the Dead technically made some money, but this guy has lost his shirt on the last few theatrical releases he's attempted. They made the joke in Postal that he finances his movie on Nazi gold and I'm beginning to think that's true.

I've got my eye on you funny little Boyd! Just so you know, I'll spend some extra time dragging my knuckles across the pavement just for you!

That's not Uwe Boll. "Knuckles" is spelled correctly.
