A 'Twilight: Eclipse' Poster...Already?

The American Film Market is going on right now, and according to its website, "The Global Film Industry Will Converge in Santa Monica for One Reason..." The weather? No. "The American Film Market is Where Business Gets Done!"

But there's more than a hint of truth in that claim. There are companies from all over the world participating, and hundreds upon hundreds of movies are represented there, looking to partner up with distributors, home video companies, and the like. It's also a good place to promote your film that doesn't need distribution help, since it's such a heavily attended industry event.

That explains why we already have a poster for next summer's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, even though New Moon is still a couple weeks away. It comes to us courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting. Pardon the watermark.

I saw the first movie mostly to see what all the hype is about, I figured it'd at least be a decent watch especially since I had never read any of the books so I wouldn't have that tainting my opinion. I can honestly say I thought it was complete garbage. The special effects were very Sci-Fi channel-esque and the acting could have been easily rivaled by the cast of pranksters on Punk'd. Granted i've heard nothing but rave reviews about the books, and the trailer for New Moon looks at least somewhat more promising...I still fail to understand what all the hype about the first movie installment of this series is.

Jeremy, I completely agree with your assessment of the first film. All the reasons you hate the film are the reasons why I love it. It's stupid, it's poorly written & acted, the F/X are horrendous & yet few films, to me, can compare with how unintentionally hilarious it is. I've already got my tix for New Moon, hoping for it to be even better than the first, and by better, I mean more horribly awesome.

We were talking about the poster, right? When will we be seeing the trailer? Sometime soon-ish I hope? The movie's opening in 8 months; they best keep the hype machine going for the next film already.

Maybe the trailer premier with the opening of New Moon? At least a teaser?

I get what you mean about horribly awesome...I usually just go for something along the lines of Outlander. Vikings versus aliens? Yes please.

Please someone get a note over to David Slade to correct the hideous makeup job on the Cullens who in New Moon (which was magnificant grant you) now look frightening and ghoulish (not beautiful as the book describes them). The reason that they are supposed to fit in is because they believably look like "very beautiful" humans. Not so in New Moon. Their makeup was too white, eyes too noticable and Rosalie who is supposed to be unbelievably beautiful looked scary.

Please Spade, put them back to what they looked like in Twilight or improve on what they look like in New Moon. It was distracting to watch. And for heavens sake, get someone to fix Alice's wig. It was old lady hideous.

Thanks. Cant wait for Eclipse.

i have watched both now and have loved both i liked the simplicity of the first film it wasnt being shadowed with to many major stunts it was just about the conection between the characters and the passion that you wanted to happened but was always pushed aside for over caution it left you wanting to see more. i didnt quite get that from the second but have read the books and always new out of the four this was my least favourite truth be known i am hanging on for breaking dawn to be the best film altough they are going to have to put alot of thought into it if they are going to make it as good as the book and capture the pure love passion and lust between bella and edward.
