Friday, December 11, 2009 at 10:05AM Portman, Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies
If you've been in a bookstore in the past year or two, you have no doubt seen the rather grisly
cover shot for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's a clear distortion of the kind of cover you'd expect for
Pride and Prejudice, with that distortion being, as you can see below, zombificated. (That's not a word.)

The book was almost certainly destined to be a movie, so in love are megaplex patrons with the undead these days.
Variety informs us that Natalie Portman will produce and star in the film adaptation, co-produced by Richard
Kelly (Donnie Darko). Would he direct? There's no word yet, but based on the terrible performances of his
last two movies, maybe he should.
Portman would play Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of the timeless novel, "who is distracted from her quest to eradicate the zombie menace by the arrival of the arrogant Mr. Darcy." So, yes, this is as described: It uses "Stone Cold" Jane Austen's story as a backdrop to a 19th century zombie attack.
Although she's been at this a while now, Portman has been consistently throwing us off balance with her choices over the past half-decade or so. I guess Cold Mountain was probably the movie that kicked off her post-Lucas "Wait, I can still act, where are you going?" phase, and she has proven herself in genre after genre since. Her Anne Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl might be the blueprint she uses for Elizabeth - tough, smart, wearing an accent - even though you would have never said at the time, "I'd like to see that character fight zombies."
Lionsgate will release the film when it's ready to go, which shouldn't be for quite a while, given Portman's dance card right now.

The bowknot handbag, therefore, is in women's good grace. Besides, it is exquisite enough as its length and height are 43 and 22 respectively. Easy and convenient. Such kind of handbag is considerately made. click to view~~~~&
