Here's a movie you should probably get to know. It's France's official submission for the
Foreign Language category, and it has already been named the year's best film in several places, including the
prestigious Sight & Sound list. A Prophet has also won awards from the NBR, the London Film Festival,
Cannes, and is a big nominee for the European Film Awards, where it is nominated in six categories.

Unlike a lot of foreign flicks, this looks like it will play very well in the US because audiences will see the
trailer, recognize there's plenty of gritty crime stuff and the potential for lots of action, and remember it when
it finally does come around (January 10th at Sundance for the US crowd).
You can't really get much of the plot from the fantastic new trailer, so here's what you need to know: An Arab man
is sent to a prison in France, and while he's locked up, he becomes a mafia kingpin. That's the nuts and bolts of it, now watch this trailer so you can act like you know all about it.
