Friday, December 11, 2009 at 5:36AM Week in Review - Vampires, 'Avatar,' 'Hancock 2'
I was suprised when I looked back on this week that what dominated the news wasn't awards and critics lists - this is the time of year where you'd expect that to be the case - but rather casting stuff, which we get every week. But whn you hear that Malkovich might play the Spidey 4 villain and Josh Brolin might do a stint in Men in Black 3, well, that's kind of big. Plus, we found out that Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are making their Dark Shadows vampire movie next fall and that Brad Pitt will produce a young Vlad the Impaler movie, too. So there.

There were awards and lists, though, and those were pretty surprising. And there's some Avatar stuff, too. The early reviews are starting to roll in, and we'll certainly have more on that movie in the coming week.
Time to catch up:
Dark Shadows shooting next September
New (and longer) running time for Avatar
Malkovich for Spidey 4's Vulture?
Twilight: Eclipse headed to IMAX
Josh Brolin linked to Men in Black 3
Brad Pitt grows fangs
No Hancock 2 for quite a while
