Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 1:03PM Monsters Emerge in New 'Clash of the Titans' Trailer
Release the Kraken! Here's the second trailer for Clash of the Titans, a more complete look at the remake of the 1981 film that played around with Greek mythology. Almost everything we've seen leading up to this has been darker and grittier, and now director Louis Leterrier shows us the big effects, completing the picture for us a little bit.

And while it still looks like a heavier film than its predecessor, there are two things I don't like about new, more revealing trailer: Giant sand scorpions and Liam Neeson's armor. The second I can live with, because he's Zeus and his look is certainly more regal than anyone else's (but if he's Zeus, why does he need armor?), although the giant sand scorpions do look a little too cheesy for me, given the rest of the surroundings.
When they're in battle, which you'll see near the end of the trailer, it's much more effective than when they're first introduced to us. And speaking of the battle scenes, they do look pretty impressive on the whole.
Remember, The Titans opens on March 26th.
