Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 11:51PM 'Transformers 3' Script Leaked Online
This weekend, a script for Transformers 3 was discovered online. Is it real? I don't know. But if it's a
ruse, that's a long, long way to go to pull off a hoax. You can download it here.

The script is a cool 120-something pages, and they say that you can look at a screenplay at the rate of a minute per page, more or
less. So that must mean it's two hours, right? And because the length of Revenge of the Fallen was one of its principal
flaws, this is a good thing, right? You're forgetting one thing: This is Michael Bay, and that means the trademark super-slo-mo. So
add 15 minutes.
I read a few pages here, a couple more there, and I'll tell you this much, if you want to hear some light SPOILERS: There are
more robots (because we need an even greater reliance on effects next time), and Witwicky proposes to what's her name, the hot chick
who's way out of his league.
I don't know why someone would take the time to write a fake script, slap Ehren Kruger's name on it, and throw it online, so my
hunch is this is probably real. It's an early draft, obviously, but scripts for the previous films were leadked, too, and I believe
they turned out to be legit. In any case, Paramount wants this to open in 18 months, so they need some version of a script pretty
soon.

At this point, just hearing some of the voices from the cartoon is enough.
In all honesty, I don't care if it's fake or real. I don't really care about spoilers either. If it's fake, maybe it's a good read. If it's real, I'll be even more hyped to see it.
So according to this script, the next movie will take the flaws of the previous movies amp them up by ten, add more noise and pointless shots of whatshisface and Megan Fox's ass, and have even more forgettable bots clashing in vague sequences of metal and explosions. Yep, this sounds real alright.
You bash on Transformers, but it's not like Michael Bay has a whole lot to work with. He's tasked with staying relatively true to the source material, but at the same time, that source material is very deep. He already deviates from it enough all the time, but in the cartoons and early animated movies, the entire point of the show was to show robots fighting robots. There were subtle themes here and there, but every plot device was used to get you from one fight to the next. It was very much akin to Dragonball Z in that regard.
And you talk about the effects as if they are bad, which we all know is not the case. The effects (before Avatar, that is) were some of, if not the, best effects we've ever seen. Avatar has taken that to a whole new level with not only visual believability, but also the emotions that is possible with these effects. I look for Michael Bay using these advances in technology to make another leap in the Transformers saga and take it to a whole new level.
But what puzzles and bothers me more is the fact that so many people complain about the fights as if they were "vague" or cluttered and hard to understand. How stupid can people be? All of the Autobots were brightly colored or black, and ever single Decepticon was pale gray. This was done for a purpose, most likely to make you feel sympathetic to the Autobots. How can people say they couldn't tell which was which? I mean, I watched it once and was able to figure out not only which team they were on but what their name was by the end of the movie. I think the cinematography on the fight scenes was very well done in the second movie especially and took it up a notch from the first.
Sure, I'll concede that there was little in the way of character development and it wasn't the deepest movie in the world. There were definitely themes and messages being conveyed, but that still was only superficial in its delivery. But at the same time, this movie better than most is able to take people back to their childhood with lighthearted humor and, at times, clever dialogue, and make them feel like the child sitting in front of a television set watching cartoons. I, for one, think Michael could use some improvement, but at the same time, he's doing and ok job right now.
Lol !!! LOOK AT THE ABOVE POST, PEOPLE GOT SO MUCH TIME TO TYME THAI WHOLE THINGY, WELL I GUESS THESE PPL HAVE LOTS OF TIME I GUESS!!!
well the whole point of a transformers movie would be to show non-stop robot action and robot dialogue between robots and showing the trials and tribulations that the transformers would face in the transformers universe. somewhere the producer and writers got lost in the idea that the human factor weighs more than the concept of the title. that's why we'll see no heart-pumping, breath-taking experiences like planet sized robots, or the many different classes of transformers doing things that should be done on a movie about transformers. if the transformers movies were in-fact made to stand up to what its worth, then we'd have something far more advanced than star-wars or any other science fiction franchise out there to date. instead we're stuck in an age of mediocrity that we're currently suffering from but most of us do not realize it. everything that has come out in the passed 10 year based on any fantasy of any kind has been greatly under-minded and turned into virtual trash despite the fact we now have the technology to bring most of these things into the visual media. i remember back in the 80's when such things as CGI and HD did not exist on a major scale. things like puppets, animatronics and superimposing were the only things we had, and with those things made the closest thing we could to bringing the story to life... now it seems we have a bunch of fools that will grab the writes to any franchise they can get their retarded little hands on and make utter messes of things that were once cherished by 100,000's and millions of people. awesome things like dragon ball, street fighter, transformers, and a bunch more have been given this half-ass-ed movie that leaves most of the devoted fans wishing there wasn't any of the live action movies we now have to look at today. these respected and beloved franchises that hold special places in peoples minds and hearts once had great a potential( and still do) for live action movies in the minds of artists and fans everywhere that can actually visualize something awesome. its sad that we dont get the quality of movies that we deserve concerning the franchises that actually deserve the attention and time...... there was a second i was like " well maybe the recent transformers movies aren't that bad, then i popped the dvd in, tried to actually relax and watch it as a movie." sadly that didn't change my initial thought. the movies stunk compared to what they potentially could have been. and its not all bay's fault, i believe its the producer's and writers' faults for making the movies sub-par, because they supply the man with the material to direct. i believe that if your not going to make a good movie that's based closely off the source material, then dont make one at all. because it results in misinformed populous new to the given franchise and disappointed fans which have waited along time to see their most beloved fantasy become a movie.
but often the voice of truth falls on selectively deaf ears
Wow! That guy that knows what he's talking about, really does know what he's talking about. I heard the minicons were going to be in this next film. Thats kind of gay seeing as on ROTF everything it focused on like those stupid robots in Sam's kitchen to the R/C truck thing that looks like something stupid that Steven Spielburg cooked up all look pretty mini to me. To hell with what the producer thinks!!!!! the human factor shouldn't matter as much as the Transformers in a Transformers film. If they put Unicron or any of the other cool looking larger transformers in there and got rid of the over powering military element, then we'd have something cool, terrifying and something that shows the human audience how powerless and pointless they are in the face of the universe and the other worldly beings that exist. Also the way the transformers we're depicted in looks and actions was really disgusting. I mean come on, look at the autobot twins and Devestator, what kind of spoof was that?!?!?!?! That what they did right there was directly a slap in the face to every hardcore ol skool transformers fan and kid out there. i'd have to say that these guys making the movies are assholes and know they are while doing it.
It will really be cool to see Unicron going up against Primus the creator in Transformers 3 and also it would be awesome to see Omega Supreme and the Birth of Galvitron and Vector prime and all the Other Autobots going against all the other decipicons
