Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 3:00PM First Action-Packed 'Robin Hood' Trailer
Although I would still prefer the idea of looking at Robin Hood through the eyes of the Sheriff of Nottingham, the first trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood is very cool, and the music has a serious set of balls, for what it's worth.

Apparently, there never was a plan to make this a story from the other side, with Robin Hood as the bad guy, at least not once Ridley Scott came in and took inventory of the project. Russell Crowe was also at one point rumored to be playing both Nottingham and Robin Hood, also a cool idea, and it was ditched. Cate Blanchett replaced Sienna Miller as Marian, and even Sienna Miller fans would have a hard time arguing that one.
There was also a delay because Scott wanted green foliage, so a fall shoot was moved to spring/summer the following year. It's safe to say this is not the movie we first heard about, and yet...watch the trailer. I'm not a doubter right now.

Robin Hood opens May 14th, and could be the movie to get Crowe's career back on track.

I think putting 'from the director of Gladiator' was a but redundant since it looks exactly like it just set in a different period. Even the wolf in the battlefield.
A bit redundant to people who look at movie websites, I'll grant you. But that was ten years ago, and most of the ticket buyers need a reminder before they vote with their wallets. As the great Billy Wilder said, "Everyone in the audience is an idiot. Together, they're a genius."
i can only say the best robin hood ever was 'men in tights' (TIGHT tights!)
but, this one looks interesting.
I was just kidding. Of course he has to put that in the trailer, they'd be stupid not to (the wolf/dog in the battle did make me burst out laughing though, almost as hard as when rickman in prince of thieves requests a spoon 'cause it'll hurt more!').
Wow looked awesome, a lot more action than I had anticipated! Which is good or bad we'd have to see, but it definitely draws more of the action junkies to the film
Cate Blanchett looks amazing wow what a beauty she just transcends boundaries and herself when it comes to roles...
Russell I must say is one handsome dude, the camera loves him...
I do wish Mark Strong who they showed in the clip had his name as 3rd billing said during the trailer..
(that's a genius Billy Wilder quote, I'm so stealing that lol)
Less swords and more arrows in the next trailer please.
