Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2:28PM Suspect Arrested in Illegal 'Wolverine' Uploading Case
Remember all that noise back in the spring about the illegal uploading of Wolverine? The movie was leaked to torrent sites and Fox showbiz writer Roger Friedman posted a review of his downloaded copy, which led to his immediate termination. But who was responsible for the upload? It had to be an inside job somewhere, because the film wasn't exactly complete, but we didn't know the culprit.

CNET reports that authorities have arrested 47-year-old Gilberto Sanchez from the Bronx. His name came up through an FBI search with MegaUpload.com. Officials came
across his name after working with MegaUpload.com and discovering that the original upload came from a user who had the handles "theSkilled1" and "SkillyGilly." Really? You're almost 50 and you're still talking about your skillz? You should go to jail for that alone, jackass.
Sanchez faces up to three years, speaking of the gray-bar hotel, and that infamous $250,000 fine the feds are always going on about. Now, here's where it gets interesting: Remember the part about this being an inside job? Sanchez may not be the original source, although it appears he could be the person who first uploaded it.
The FBI indicates more arrests may be coming, so it sure sounds like he didn't do it alone. I could have told you that, though. Just look at those usernames; the dude needs help with lots of things.
To think, he might lose a quarter-million and spend 36 months behind bars...for Wolverine. Hindsight being 20/20, that hardly seems worth it.

I laughed out loud. Quite loud to be honest.
