New Hit-Girl Poster from 'Kick-Ass'

I'm not sure who the breakout star of Kick-Ass will be, but I'm becoming convinced that there will be. We already know McLovin, so that won't work. It could be Aaron Johnson, who plays Kick-Ass, but I have a hunch it will be 12-year-old (or 13 when the movie's in theaters) Chloe Moretz, featured here in a new poster as Hit-Girl. Poster courtesy of IGN When the Comic Con trailer showed up, it was Moretz who stole it with a living room fight scene against a thug, and we saw earlier this week a training clip featuring Moretz learning how to take a bullet from Nicolas Cage. Just as long as he's not teaching a real estate seminar, I suppose. Anyway, I think the reason she could be the stand out here is because she's doing stuff that is absolutely foreign to a pre-teen girl, and it seems to be working in the trailers and clips. She has a real attitude that belies her age and then, of course, there's the ass kicking so gently alluded to in the title. So all hail Hit-Girl. The most anticipated movie of the pre-summer? Probably not, but you wouldn't have even thought about it in that light a few months ago. Kick-Ass opens on April 16th.
