Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2:07PM Trailer - 'The Bounty Hunter' Does Not Look Strong
Nope. No chemistry. We had the poster for The Bounty Hunter a few days ago, and we said at the time the only thing that could really push the rather pedestrian concept forward is if Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston showed a ton of chemistry, but it's not here.

Actually, I saw the surprisingly entertaining two-minute teaser for Knight & Day with Cruise and Diaz last night (it isn't online yet), and I think if you put them side by side, you'd see a real difference. There's no give and take with Aniston and Butler, just recitation. Bad script? Could be. But it comes across as going through the motions, and it might just as easily be that.
Butler is a bounty hunter who has to bring his ex-wife in for...something. I dunno. She's on the lam, so Butler takes Aniston into custody and then has to drive her back to face justice. Watch the opening scene in the traielr and if you're not convinced that they're not convincing, I'll give you your money back.

The Bounty Hunter opens March 19th, but I wonder who the audience is. Women? I guess they'll have to do. March is a male-dominated movie month, with Green Zone earlier on, and Hot Tub Time Machine and Season of the Witch the same week. I would put money on this winning that weekend, but just one week later, it's Clash of the Titans, so I can't imagine a very long shelf life for The Bounty Hunter.

I watched ET and saw both previews. I thought the chemistry between Cruise & Diaz seemed forced, It seemed like Cruise was trying to hard. But I must say the movie should be stunning to watch since it is being filmed in some great locations and has a budget of $90 million. As far as Aniston and Butler's chemistry it is hard to tell since Aniston seems to have the exact same on-screen chemistry with all of her co-stars. LOL I think the movie will be a fun romp no more.
Why do men always get to critique romntidc comedies? We women love them . "The Ugly Truth" with Gerard Butler got the typical rom-com negative comments, but many of us loved it! It made over 200 million dollars worldwide, and was a top-selling and renting dvd!!!! This looks like so much fun!!!!!!I think Butler has chemistry withh all of his co-stars...he is that charismatic. He can do it all: action moives, thrillers, historical epics,l and yes, romantic comedies. I , for one, do not plan to see the Emperor's New Clothes of a moive, "Avatar"...even critics say it has a weak script but good viisuals. But hey, it's egotistical James Cameron...let's nominate it for awards. Ugh. You mentioned "Green Zone"? Another macho movie that men like but don't see as cliche either. Give me Butler in anything!!! I love his expressions and his looks as he handles anything well. I cannot wait to see thismovie!!!!!
I can\t wait to see the trailer for "knight &Day". i can't find it anywhere online. tom and Cameron have great chemistry. i loved them in Vanilla Sky. The bounty looks ok.
