Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 9:03PM 'Clash of the Titans' Gets Re-Shoots, The Good Kind
Even though the Clash of the Titans trailer(s) debuted this week and showed us quite a bit, there is
still work to do be. That's according to Sam Worthington, star of Avatar and the Clash remake's Perseus, who tells
The Los Angeles Times that the re-shoots aren't a result of the studio being unhappy. Quite the contrary.

"We're going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it; they cut loose with some money so we can add to it," Worthington
said. Who knows when the decision was made, but the actor says the shooting will happen in January, cautioning, "so we're going to
be right up against it -- the movie comes out in March."
Yep, March 26th, in fact. Worthington did acknowledge that Clash of the Titans had "some creaky parts," which he says the
studio was fully aware of going in, and now the new funds will give director Louis Leterrier a chance to fix that. As if that's not
enough, "[Warner Bros.] is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they're talking about making the movie a 3D film."
Oh, 3-D. Don't they know yet the only way it impacts an audience is if it's shot in 3-D originally and not processed after the fact?
Because even if they go back and shoot a scene or two in 3-D within the two months they can go back in and tweak it, the rest of the
film would then have to be converted, and it's generally not worth the effort.
Still, it's encouraging that a studio is adding budget to a movie it likes, even if I guess it could impact the film negatively in post-production. The trailer is pretty exciting, so if they add good stuff here (or even if they can just minimize what Worthington calls the "creaky parts"), then this could be moving the right direction. Never would have guessed it when they started, though.

I adore Sam Worthington!!!!!!
There is not enough time to do the 3D conversion. However, this movie is going to be amazing.
