Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3:36PM 'Jackass 3-D' Taking Stupid to "Whole New Dimension"
We heard a couple weeks ago I guess that Jackass would be back in theaters next fall, and that the plan was to make it in 3-D. There's a "why not" aspect to that; the Jackass movies cost under $20 million combined and generated over $150 million put together. With 3-D becoming very trendy and not terribly expensive anymore, this would add another gimmick to the freak show. MUE7VTCUFP3B

Now Johnny Knoxville confirms the 3-D news, in his own inimitable way. "We're going to take the same 3D technology James
Cameron used in Avatar and stick it up Steve O's butt," Knoxville delicately said in a statement. "We're taking stupid to a whole new dimension.”
And really, if you read interviews with James Cameron, he has strongly indicated that he'd love to see his work in the 3-D realm lead to something like watching firecrackers being shoved in an idiot's ear or something, so The King of the World has to be thrilled.
Jeff Tremaine will be back to direct and Spike Jonze is once again producing, and the release date has been solidified, too (at least for the time being): October 15th.

Well, a normal Hollywood comedy has two or three great laughs and a few chuckles on the way.
Watching Jackass Number Two, I laughed pretty much the whole way through. (There were of course a few exceptions).
