New Character Art for 'Alice in Wonderland'

We're less than three months away from Alice in Wonderland, and while it's been almost 50 years since the Disney cartoon, the wait may have been worth it for the resources to catch up to Tim Burton's creativity. Here's a new bit of Alice art (thanks to JoBlo) that showcases Burton's imagination and how it meshes with Lewis Carroll's original tale.
Hey, enlarge it It's the next movie planned for IMAX (following Avatar) and in fact it's lined up to be the first major heavyweight of 2010, the kind of movie that might still be on the box office list a year from now, in part because it won't need the IMAX money because it will have such a broad appeal to young and old, or at least older. Expect Disney to ram it down our throats between now and early March and then expect it to pay off. Here are some solo shots of some of the critters in Wonderland:
