Cool Video: Cinema 2009

Piggybacking a perhaps more spirited and tightly packed year in review video from about a week ago, here's a longer recap compilation that reaches wider and probably packs a bigger emotional wallop, which you might not expect from something like this. One year, 342 movies. That's the thesis of Kees van Dijkhuizen's terrific high quality video, which includes movies you wouldn't expect to see here, like Killshot with Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Coco Avant Chanel, but that is, after all, how a year in review should work. Hell, even Year One shows up. I should also point out how well the music works together. There are a few songs providing the soundtrack here and they're all pretty good choices. It might not have been the best year for movies on the whole, but watching these seven minutes reminds me that a year with any movies is better than the alternative.
