Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 6:33AM 'Dark Knight' Tops IMDB's Best of the Decade List
Kudos to Slashfilm for weeding through the top 250 films on IMDB to come up with the top 25 movies of the decade according to the Database's voters. You can check out the full list there, but we've got the top ten for you.

It's a more diverse list than you might think. After all, IMDB voters tend to jump on favorites early (see Avatar in the list at number five), and there's a big fanboy lean to a lot of it, too, certainly in the top ten. But it's no great shock to learn that The Dark Knight leads the list from the past ten years. Remember, when it was released, IMDB voters instantly proclaimed it the greatest film ever, which is far from true. It has now dropped to ninth on the list all-time, and it will probably remain in the top 20 or so for a long time.
Each film's average vote is shown in parentheses, along with the ranking on IMDB's all-time list:
1 - The Dark Knight (8.8/9)
2 - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (8.8/11)
3 - City of God (8.7/16)
4 - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (8.7/20)
5 - Avatar (8.6/24)
6 - Memento (8.6/27)
7 - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (8.6/30)
8 - WALL·E (8.5/43)
9 - Amélie (8.5/44)
10- The Departed (8.4/50) Amélie seems like the oddball, but that was the appeal of that film the whole time. Glad to see City of God so well represented, though. Our own tops of the decade list is on the way soon, so stay tuned.

Yea you can only take this list with a grain of salt....
But all films on this list are quite amazing I must say
Nice to see that Christopher Nolan has 2 films on the list.
He has four in the top 25. I guess that makes it his decade or something.
Pretty fantastic considering he's only made 6 movies.
