Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 11:04PM 'Ghostbuters 3' Shooting This Summer for 2011?
Harold Ramis has given us a concrete schedule for Ghostbusters 3, although I wouldn't bet that the concrete is dry just yet. Ramis, along with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, is expected to return for the threequel, but Murray has dropped hints that he's never agreed to anything and won't "leave the house" until a script is done and it's solid.

But now Ramis tells Heeb that apparently whatever script there is exists in a good enough form that they've got to be in some phase of pre-production. The writer-director-actor says shooting is scheduled to take place in matter of months:

"Something's going to happen. Dan did write a spec GB3 screenplay a few years ago, but no one was motivated to pursue it. Now, 25 years after the original, there seems to be some willingness to proceed and apparently a substantial public appetite for a sequel. We'll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future.""GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011." Of course, if that's true, there's still the delicate business of picking three new Ghostbusters audiences will warm up to. Easier said than done. As it stands now, there's a wide open June 10th weekend in 2011, and because Sony is no less superstitious about this sort of thing than the other studios, it should be noted that the original Ghostbusters was released on June 8, 1984. So push that 2011 opening date back to Wednesday, and there's your symmetry.

Ghostbusters was one of my favorite games, the second was less better but still magical.
Why play with a classic like Ghostbusters, I'm really afraid from the outcome, hoep it won't fail us all...
