Week in Review - Awards Season is in the Air

We're starting to see more of these end of the year awards and nominations pop up, and a few names are starting to rise to the top. Up in the Air, Precious, and The Hurt Locker all had good weeks, probably the first of several between now and early March. That another thing: Can we cut down awards season? It's longer than the baseball playoffs now. Four months of this? Stop it. There was other big news this week not related to gold fever. For instance, Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman are working again, and director Paul Greengrass isn't. Well, as long as it's the next Jason Bourne movie, he isn't.
