Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:20AM Another Great Character Poster for 'Kick-Ass'
I know it doesn't mean much, but every stitch of Kick-Ass that we've been shown does exactly that. The Comic Con trailer, the official theatrical trailer, character posters (including this new one IMP Awards from featuring McLovin) - they've all done a number on us. It's a super hero movie that looks fun, which is something a lot of them have lost touch with.

Mark Millar's comic was picked up by Matthew Vaughn, one of the more underrated directors going, in my opinion. The studios were scared to death of teenagers in this violent, profane world, until they saw that the movie could make them a ton of money. Suddenly, the moral ground shifted and Lionsgate stepped up to the plate to hand Vaughn a bucket of cash in exchange for the distribution rights.
We'll finally get to see Kick-Ass in theaters on April 16th. The only thing left to do now is maybe temper our expectations a little bit; so far, they've given us a lot to look forward to, and it would be a shame if it came up short just because we built it up so much.
