Super Bowl Ad for 'Land of the Lost'

Better than I feared. That about sums up my reaction to the new Super Bowl commercial for Land of the Lost. And the reason it's better than I feared - or at least the primary reason - is Sleetaks.

I love that they still look the same as they did 30 years ago. If they still shoot arrows with enough propulsion to carry them all of about 17 inches in the movie, I'll be very happy. Another cool thing about it, though, is the visual landscape they created for wherever Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) and crew wind up after their time warp.

I only hope the Matt Lauer line isn't the funniest thing in the movie. Land of the Lost will be in theaters on June 5th. Oh, and in case you didn't get a very good glimpse of him in the trailer, here's a new shot of Chaka:
