Monday, February 9, 2009 at 7:12PM 'Veronica Mars' Movie To Be Pitched Very Soon
That Veronica Mars movie seems more and more likely all the time. The now-defunct series has been one of those projects people speculated about for years - can they make a movie, will the cast get back together? And now that answer is leaning "yes."

Michael Ausiello writes in his new column at The Letter That Stands for Entertainment that creator Rob Thomas is close to presenting his idea to Warner Bros. Thomas says, "I'm preparing the pitch now -- literally now. I hope to go in and talk to [executive producer] Joel Silver and [Warner Bros.] in the next week or two to see if they're interested."
While Thomas says nothing is concrete, I would imagine that anything with an established audience moves to the front of the line right now, times being what they are. What might help is having Kristen Bell in the pitch; anyone who has seen her in interviews, particularly on Craig Ferguson, can see how cool and likable she appears to be. But that won't happen.
"Kristen will not be joining me," Thomas says. "I'm sure she has no desire to see how the sausage is made."
