McDowell Back for 'H2'? Plus, a New Poster

Later this year, we'll get another luck at Michael Myers when Rob Zombie revisits the Halloween franchise. I don't know what changed, but maybe four months ago, Zombie wasn't going to make this movie, and now he's going into production (next month, supposedly), with an August release date.

So you'd figure all the ducks would be in a row before they start filming. Not exactly. Malcolm McDowell is quoted by Ain't It Cool News as saying that he hasn't signed anything to return as Dr. Loomis, and that the negotiations are ongoing.
Loomis is, of course, one of the only real performances in the entire original series, and considering McDowell had never seen the original, he did a reasonable job a couple of years ago. So the second film would definitely benefit from having him back, but it sounds like maybe the Weinsteins don't want to pay what McDowell thinks his time is worth.
Meanwhile, Dimension, the Weinstein offshoot distributing the film, has released a new teaser poster for the sequel, predictably called H2.

For a second there I thought you were talking about the Hummer.
