Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 9:22PM Eliza Dushku Wants to Be Iron Man's Black Widow
This is one of those ultimate fanboy dreams, but I doubt it'll ever happen. Eliza Dushku was on the
Howard Stern show on Sirius XM - which, by the way, is about 20 minutes away from Chapter 11 - and said she'd love
the role of the Black Widow in the upcoming Iron Man 2.

If you missed a day a couple weeks ago, Emily Blunt was already cast in that role but might have to give it up because of a
studio arrangement with Fox, which just placed the British starlet in Gulliver's Travels. Since those film
will be in production at the same time, it's highly unlikely she'll be able to do both.
But Dushku seems up on the character, has plenty of confidence in herself, and a foreign language up her sleeve:
(Thanks to /Film for
the quote)
I have an unwavering objection to stars trying to beg their way to the top through interviews. Brian Austin Green
said last year he'd
love to play The Riddler, and now Dushku wants to be Black Widow. She should want to be Wonder Woman, but that's a
whole other story.
Does anyone know the success rate of actors openly pursuing roles publicly like this? My guess is next to zero,
which is slightly worse than the odds I would've otherwise given Dushku for the part. My pick is still Olga Kurylenko since
she's, what's the word...Russian.

"They're doing Iron Man 2, and I'm so perfect for the Black Widow character, that they just need to get into it. They need to understand... I just learned Russian because I had to play a Russian girl in Dollhouse.

Agreed....but you have to admit...the Dollhouse/Terminator TV Spot is pretty badass. Very Grindhouse esq. I just want to make one comment...if I could only read one blog for the rest of my life...this would be it. Kudos man.
Oh, she's hot, no doubt about it. And the Dushku-Summer Glau combo is tough to beat.
