Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 8:21AM Trailer - 'The Descent: Part 2'
A few years ago, horror fans really embraced The Descent, an all-girl bloodbath that takes place on a caving expedition. The film, director Neil Marshall's big breakthough, made well over $50 million worldwide on a budget of less than $2 million.

The story left open the possibility of a sequel, and now we're just a few months away from that. Bloody Disgusting was the first place to track down the new trailer for The Descent: Part 2, and while horror sequels in particular have problems capturing the intensity and novelty of the original, especially when the writer-director no longer holds those roles, this trailer looks like they've amped up the underground stuff. But maybe too much.
Well, this happens more than it should, but a perfectly good movie trailer has been removed from all online resources by the studios in charge. I received this note from Pathe a few days after we posted the trailer:

"As this video is not approved yet for Online and infringes our copyright, can you please take it down as soon as possible."We hope to get another trailer to you as soon as we can. The Descent: Part 2 will be released in the UK on May 15th, and we'll be sure to update you on a U.S. release date when it becomes available.
