I Spy Another Robert Ludlum Movie
Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 12:06AM
It was at one time believed that for more Jason Bourne movies, Universal would just take other spy novels written by Robert Ludlum and fit those to meet the studio's reigning action hero. Apparently, Universal sees more potential in the works of Robert Ludlum.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that The Parsifal Mosaic, originally a likely source for the upcoming fourth Bourne flick, will now get its own big screen adaptation in addition to the next Jason Bourne adventure.
Reporter summarizes the Cold War thriller as centering on "American spies Michael Havelock and Jenna Karas, who are partners as well as lovers, at the center of a series of crosses and double crosses." The story really gets going with a flashback to a Nazi attack in the second World War.
In addition to Parsifal and the Bourne franchise, Universal is also working with director Jose Padilha on The Sigma Protocol, and it was just announced that Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, and David Croenenberg will tackle Ludlum's The Matarese Circle.
Will audiences get burned out on all this Ludlum?
