Rob Zombie Adds to 'Halloween 2' Cast
Monday, February 16, 2009 at 12:27AM
In separate blog posts at his MySpace page (remember when MySpace ruled the world?), Halloween 2 director Rob Zombie has confirmed a few additions to his cast. The ensemble has to come together quickly on this, since Zombie was just announced as the director of the late summer release a couple months ago after saying repeatedly he'd have no involvement.

The big news is probably Malcolm McDowell, who was attributed with saying his return was a financial issue. "Rumors have it that Malcolm will not be returning as Dr. Loomis," writes Zombie. "Well, as usual the rumors are wrong. Malcolm McDowell will be back and ready to deal with big Mike.
The other additions are Bill Moseley, a staple of Zombie's pictures in the past. "Bill returns as Uncle Seymour Coffins, a local Haddonfield horror host," Zombie allows, immediately putting me in the mind of Captain Spaulding from 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects. Zombie also announces that Caroline Williams, Moseley's Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 co-star, will play "Dr. Maple, the head doc at Haddonfield General. Let the good times roll!"
I think because of this weekend's record-setting performance by the new Friday the 13th, the bar has been raised for these horror remakes. Now, suddenly, just doubling a tiny budget won't do. You've got to make $75 - $100 million. I'm not sure H2 has that kind of potential.

Mr. Zombie likes to work with his wife, Sheri Moon. Since she played Michael Myers' mother (and died, right?) in the first film, hasn't he pigeon-holed himself? I wonder how he'll work her in...
in the first silm micheal didnt kill his mom or his sister then the original halloween movies, which i think were better, micheal is out to kill his sister.
I just got home from seeing H2 and i have to say that this one takes it to a whole new level. if you know how to think outside of the box you will love H2, if not then youll hate it. it is a crazy movie and it is waaayyyyy more in depth than H1. its one you deffinately shouldnt miss while its in theatres. michael myers really lets the lion out of the cage in this one!!!
