First Poster for Terry Gilliam's 'Doctor Parnassus'
Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 1:15AM
Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will give us, sadly, our last look at
the work of Heath Ledger later this year. The film is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on September 24th, a
few months after the premiere in England this June.
We Are Movie Geeks found this great Korean poster for the film, which certainly looks like it fits a movie called
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

As we know, the Ledger role has been completed by Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law. That should give the
film even more clout with audiences, although the mainstream crowd that loved The Dark Knight might find
Gilliam's work a little harder to compartmentalize.
I can't wait to read some reviews this summer to see exactly what we're in for from Gilliam and, of course, Heath
Ledger.

I became aware of this one because of Jude Law's involvement. Had it not been for that, it probably never would have been a blip on my radar.
I'm excited for this. Terry Gilliam is a great writer/director. As far as Heath Ledger, I could care less. I didn't see the Dark Knight, and I don't have any desire to see it now. Movies need to be more original now of days for me to be interested, I'm sick of sequels and super heroes.
Heath Ledger was phenomenal in The Dark Knight and I can't wait to see his performance in this. It's tragic what happened. Reminds me of River. :[
I'm excited to see how this film turns out and how Gilliam is going to make this.
I watched "I'm Not There" a few weeks ago and everyone complemented each other well with the different Bob Dylan incarnations. This film (and its cast) should be as equally entertaining and hopefully bring closure to Heath Ledger's life on film.
I think that you all need a little more film motivation. First of all, The Dark Knight was possibly the best Batman made.I won't discount Tim Burton. Secondly, Terry Gilliam should be the reason you are interested, not the actors. Every film he has made, he has been clear in what the end results should be. Fuck the actors. Thirdly, this is what you all have been waiting for and I can't believe you can't think anything but anticipation for this.
