Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 1:25AM Next Bullock Romantic Comedy Delayed
Some people would look at this news and think, "Great. I'm in no rush to see that, anyway." I, on the other hand, have to see Sandra Bullock's latest crappy looking romcom eventually, so I would rather get it over with than wait a few extra months.
It's like pulling of a Band Aid.

But 20th Century Fox has delayed the March 6th release of Bullock's All About Steve, saying it's because the field is too crowded with romantic comedies. That's not true, of course. The last romantic comedy until March 27th was Confessions of a Shopaholic, and now the next one is An Accidental Husband, an Uma Thurman movie that has been delayed about as much as GnR's Chinese Democracy album.
This stratagem sounds like Fox is just trying to bury All About Steve. Can't say I blame whomever made that decision; Steve looks like vintage bad Bullock. Man, she's put out a lot of garbage. But I don't remember one being pushed back a few months before.
Where will it wind up? Sometime in the fall is one guess, but as far as I'm concerned, they're just putting off the inevitable.
