Schwarzenegger Joins 'The Expendables'

More casting news for Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, also known as the Calling in His Favors Movie. In addition to Jet Li, Jason Statham, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, and Forest Whitaker, Ain't it Cool News is reporting that Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts are officially on board, and that Ben Kingsley won't be in the film.

The big news is that Sly's former Planet Hollywood co-owner, Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be in the film, playing himself. "He will be shooting for one day, and it seems that the Gov and Sly's character Barney Ross have some history back when the Gov was shooting Conan The Barbarian," writes Harry Knowles.
So apparently, there won't be any action scenes for Schwarzenegger, unless you count laying off over 20,000 state employees in one day "action."
Knowles also says that Stallone has been working over the script recently, "struggling to nail the right tonal balance of humor, action and emotional reality." I'd say, let's just go for action and if either of the other things falls in place accidentally, great.
This cast is getting enormous, though. Could be Stallone's Dirty Dozen approach will win over audiences next year.

I'm digging this addition to the cast, but...
How can you let Mr. Kingsley get away?????
