Ha! Idiot Pirates 'Love Guru,' Gets Arrested

"What are you in for?"

"I pirated The Love Guru."

A conversation very much like that one is in the near future for Californian Jack Yates, arrested this past week on charges that he made an illegal copy of Mike Myers' The Love Guru - one of the worst films of 2008 - and distributed it to his friends. Wow. That's a lot of people with bad taste right there. And bad judgment.

The FBI threw the dragnet over three pirates, one for uploading Benjamin Button and Australia to the internet, and another for uploading Slumdog Millionaire, but it is Yates who gets the gold star. He worked for a company hired by Paramount Pictures last year to produce a screener copy of the film for The Tonight Show. His friends took the copy and then uploaded it online, laying tracks for the feds to close in on Yates.

He now faces six years in prison, which is also a good sentence for Myers' crimes in making the film in the first place.
