The Oscars 2009 Movie Preview

At the end of the Academy Awards last night, there was a three minute video package about the upcoming films of 2009. Why they didn't do a 2008 recap, focusing on some of the movies that could've used more exposure (like In Bruges or Let the Right One In), Oscar looked ahead. There's nothing wrong with highlighting the next year in movies, but there are still so many great films coming out on DVD or maybe still in theaters that could have used the kiss in front of hundreds of millions of people. As for the video itself, I just saw it for the first time; our ABC affiliate in Phoenix cut away right after the awards and started its news three minutes early. They had some very important stuff to cover, like - and I'm not kidding - free pancakes at IHOP. So if you're a local, odds are you haven't seen this either.
