Zack Snyder Wants to 'Sucker Punch' Amanda Seyfried

Now that the interviews for Watchmen have started for director Zack Snyder, he's talking a little bit more about his upcoming projects. IESB recently pinned him down on the recently announced Sucker Punch, and Snyder didn't dodge the rumors.

When asked if Amanda Seyfried from Mamma Mia! would play the lead in the film described as Alice in Wonderland with machine guns, Snyder replied, "We'll see. We're trying to, so...She's great."

"It would be great if it worked out," added the director, who is aiming to start production this summer for a 2011 release. Interestingly, Seyfried campaigned for the role in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland early last year.

For his next film, Snyder promises even more action, if you can believe it.

"we're just trying to make these action sequences just out of this - just off the frickin scale, planet. Cause I really feel like I've never really had the opportunity to make an action movie you know, I mean 300 is action-y but not like I could be, you know, with no rules and machine guns and just everything. I feel like there's huge potential there that I haven't really gotten to explore, so that's kind of what I am excited about."

Full casting should be announced within a month, Snyder says, shortly after Watchmen hits theaters.

Snyder is such a glorified Bay. God I wish he would stop directing films. Maybe do poetry. :)
