'Mutant Chronicles' Trailers Refuse to Die

In about 700 years, we will be facing an armageddon. I for one am surprised it will take that long. But at that time, mutants will have overpowered humankind, forcing the world's leaders to strongly consider evacuating Earth.

It's not a bad premise for a movie, and this is the second straight trailer for The Mutant Chronicles that makes it appear not unlikely that this could be OK. Then again, the trailer for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle kicked ass, and look what happened there.

I wish Mutant Chronicles had about another five million to spend on effects, but if life gives you lemons, you make lemon-scented Pledge. The film stars John Malkovich and Ron Perlman as two of the world's leaders, and Thomas Jane plays a guy who has to kill a hell of a lot of NecroMutants.

I've heard just about every opinion imaginable from people who have seen this film in Europe, and that's not generally great news. We'll find out for sure on April 24th.

It's like a movie that you know is going to be bad, but all opinions aside it looks like it could be good...and though you know its pointless to hope, you still find yourself hoping....Who knows, if we hope hard enough, maybe we will enjoy it...

Bear in mind that this is not the same film that was shown in Europe, it's 12 minutes shorter, a lot of the boring talking was removed :-)
