Ten Short Clips from 'Angels & Demons'
Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 8:06AM
Outside of the brief glimpses of action in the rather
unspectacular trailers for Angels & Demons, we haven't seen much of
how the film is going to operate. Nominally a prequel to The Da Vinci
Code, the film follows Dan Brown's Indy-Jones-in-Tweed, Robert
Langdon, as he tries to unlock a mystery involving the Catholic Church and
the Illuminati...before it's too late.

Tom Hanks is back as Langdon - sporting a much better rug - and Ewan
McGregor has a supporting role of particular significance, which I won't spoil here. Tweet me if you can't bear the supsense.
We found ten bite size clips from Angels & Demons, which when assembled
completely, help flesh out any part of the story you might have otherwise
missed to this point.

It's going to be huge, by the way. I know it doesn't have the sizzle of
Wolverine or Terminator or Star Trek, but if you know
someone over 45, this is the early summer movie they're looking forward
to. Angels & Demons commits its blasphemy on May 15th.

Bla bla bla bla bla di bla...
One correction, although the book was written before The DaVinci Code, the script for the film has been converted into a sequel, so the events for Hanks' character actually take place after the first film. I don't think this really matters one way or another to the story, but in your article you mentioned that it is a prequel, so I figured I would clarify.
The character did manage to find a decent barber between films, though.
I dug the book, so I'm looking forward to the further adventures of Robert Langdon.
Really? So it's a prequel now masquerading as a sequel? That's almost not worth doing at all. But thanks for the tip.
It makes no difference. I the Da Vinci Code book Langdon was famous for fighting the Illuminati. In the Angels & Demons movie he'll be famous for cracking the Da Vinci Code.
What does matter is the pedestrian or even fumbling acting in these clips (now gone).
Angels & Demons is a page turner but these clips just makes you want to turn the whole thing off.
