Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 9:07PM If Christian Bale Sees These, He'll Be Pissed...And Nobody Wants That
Congratulations, Christian Bale: You're part of the zeitgeist. All week long, the top story has been his outburst last summer on the set of Terminator Salvation. The audio leaked out, demonstrating that Bale can be a little testy when things aren't going well, and the fun hasn't stopped since.

Personally, while I understand that Bale is one of those actors that gets totally into the moment and having an external influence break him out of it is really unnerving, at a certain point you have to be a professional. You have to let it go. And it's not even so much the dressing down of the film's cinematographer, Shane Hurlbut, that bothers me. It's the four-minute show that it became. I hope he's embarrassed by it; he should be.
But the tantrum has become a source of ridicule and inspiration for some. He shared the terrific remix of his tirade on Tuesday, and here are a couple videos sent to us by some readers, Duane and Sophia, respectively.
The first one is one of those Hollywood celebrity oddballs - the guys who hang out on the street in costume to amuse tourists for loose change - going off on passers-by who interrupt the photos he's taking. It's clever enough, I suppose.
This next video you might have seen. It's Stephen Colbert launching into a profanity-laced tizzy of his own against that night's Colbert Report guest, Steve Martin.

What A Loser!
Get it straight. The story is not about Bale losing his temper. To me he sounds very in control of his temper. The story should be about the DP being an amateur. How does a guy with so little credentials get to DP Terminator?
Bale was entirely right with everything he said and if more people took their craft so seriously we would have a film industry intent on making crap.
I agree with "I support Bale". Bale sounded like he was just letting off steam because of inappropriate behaviour - and rightly so. However, I don't know if "I support Bale's" last comment was intentional or not, but it was supremely LMAO funny, as we do seem to be saddled with an industry that is intent on churning out piles of crap with little pears hidden in between.
