Get Juiced With New 'Crank 2' Photos

The upcoming Crank 2: High Voltage completely blew me away with its new trailer. I thought the gimmick for the first one was a nice approach, but the movie itself could've been better. You can't judge anything by its trailer, of course, but it sure looks like writers-directors Neveldine and Taylor are absolutely going for broke this time around.

Jason Statham is back as Chev Chelios, and instead of his heart running on pure adrenaline this time, he's running on electricity coursing through his veins in the absence of his heart. Yep: Bad guys took his heart. Amy Smart and Dwight Yoakam are both back, as well, which should indicate, if nothing else, that they had a blast making the first one. That always helps a sequel.
