'Up' Updated in New Upisode

I've tried figuring our why I'm less excited about Up than I have been other recent Pixar films, and I really don't know. I have no doubt it'll do incredibly well this summer, although maybe not to the level of Finding Nemo. But I just don't have that same anticipation this time around. Certainly, the pieces are all there again, and it's the first Pixar movie in 3-D, so that's something, but I've seen the trailers and a couple clips and it feels a little safer than some of Pixar's best films. Here's a new Upisode - get it - featuring crotchety old Carl Fredrickson (Ed Asner) and the well-meaning scout, Russell (Jordan Nagai), who's an unwitting stowaway on Carl's big adventure. I realize I'm not selling the Upisode very well, but what are you gonna do? They can't all look like winners.

This just seems dull, dull, dull...

I cannot get excited about Up in the least.

The thing is, I LOVE animated movies, films geared toward children-and I'm still not excited about Up. The videos I saw made me think, ok, it won't be really bad, but I don't think it'll be great. I expect better, now.
