Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:42PM Ryan Reynolds Talks About Deadpool in 'Wolverine'
One subject invariably comes up when the topic of discussion is Ryan
Reynolds: Why isn't he a much bigger deal? He looks the part, he's got great
charisma, he's funny and self-deprecating, and he's a pretty good actor, too. So why's he stuck doing The
Proposal?

Well, he's also in the catbird seat, ready to be the breakthrough supporting star in X-Men Origins:
Wolverine, which kicks off summer 2009. Latino Review talked to Reynolds during the Adventureland junket and he seems to love the idea of
revisiting the character if that spin-off movie actually happens.

"I love the character. I've always loved the character. I remember reading one of the Deadpool comic books, and somebody asked Deadpool what he looks like. And he said he looks like a cross between a Shar-Pei and Ryan Reynolds. And I was like, I really, really wanna play this guy at some point. I thought it was pretty cool. It's a guy that knows he's in a comic book. How hard is it to shoot that properly? That's not something they put in Wolverine nor would it belong in that universe."One other thing to consider: The Reynolds-Johansson household is going to be cashing Marvel Studios residual checks for a long, long time, now that Scarlett has signed on to play Black Widow in Iron Man 2. Reynolds talks a little more Wolverine in the Latino Review piece, but not much; he's pretty tight-lipped about specifics.
