Monday, March 16, 2009 at 10:18PM First Look at Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko in 'Centurion'
Empire snagged a first look at the lovely Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) in director Neil Marshall's Centurion. And from the picture below, she's either playing an early 1980s Adam Ant or some kind of warrior goddess. If you guessed Adam Ant, you'd be wrong.

According to the script, her character, Etain, is savage looking and a warrior, so there you go.
“Etain is kind of revenge incarnate,” says Marshall, who has create powerful women in The Descent and the much less satisfying Doomsday. “Her family were butchered by the Romans, she had her tongue cut out by the Romans, she’s had a hell of a time and she’s out for Roman blood.”
The events in the film reportedly take place about half a century before Gladiator, although they're obviously not at all related. Incidentally, the Centurion of the title refers to Michael Fassbender, who received great attention for Hunger and will appear this summer in Inglourious Basterds.
There's no release date yet, but when one pops up, we'll let you know. Maybe hang a banner on the freeway overpass you always drive by on your way to work or something.
