Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 1:42AM Lindsay Lohan Still Working on That Comeback
I wonder where Lindsay Lohan lays the blame for her tattered career. After all, in 2004, she was in a big hit movie called Mean Girls, which the 18-year-old then followed up with fairly successful hosting gigs on Saturday Night Live over the next couple of years. And since then? Nothing to speak of, and certainly nothing that stands up to her work in Mean Girls or even Freaky Friday.

She brought her downfall on herself, and now she's whining about not being able to work. Really? "It's scary when you realize, 'Oh my God, I'm not working'. And have a house to pay for now," she confesses to Nylon.
And rather than build up goodwill the old fashioned way (by earning it), Lohan has been begging and pleading for big stars to work with her. Now, Lohan reveals she's working her rolodex:

"I'm talking to [lots of people]. One is Sean Penn – I spoke to him again the other day. We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!"What in the world would a conversation between Sean Penn and LiLo sound like? I find that particular bit of news dubious, although I have no difficulty believing Seth Rogen wouldn't call her back. Of course, if Rogen wouldn't, why would Penn? Lohan should find a real role in a small movie, one where she's not the star and the center of attention. If she's so desperate to work, she should put away her pride - if it still exists - and kind of start over. I think people would respect her more for that than coattailing a hit movie.

With movies,television,singles,albums,magazine covers,
endorsements,clothing business,etc.,she seems quite successful.
Do the insecure people who hate her have any proof that
her career is fading? Give us some facts.
Really, she's successful? Then why does she keep whining that no one wants to work with her? Seth Rogen has said during a radio interview that he is glad she passed on Knocked Up years ago, because she would have ruined the movie like she ruins all movies she's in.
She's selling cheap leggins and self-tanner, you call that sucessful? She is now a D-list and no one wants to work with her. How pathetic to have to resort to begging Seth Rogan to call her.
Nobody in Hollywood wants to work with her and I don't blame them. She is a real life drama queen and uninsurable, why would any studio take a chance on her?
And that fact that she keeps whining and begging doesn't help her case. Neither does her constant partying and boozing and goodness knows what else, and then she whines no one wants to give her a chance...she had more chances than anyone can count on one finger, but there are much better young actresses in Hollywood and let's face it, Lindsay is expendable. Rather they should give talented, hardworking unknown actresses a chance than Lindsay, who blew every chance she was given.
Remember when Mean Girls first came LL's way,she was offered the part of Regina first but
quickly passed on it 'cause she worried that fans might percieve her as arrogant????
Now some 5 years later, guess what happened?????
Geez--give the girl a break! She was young and alone with no one really guiding her to make the right decisions. Instead of dwelling on her past, why don't you send her some words of encouragement and best wishes that she finds her way through the crazy world of hollywood. I'm glad she made parent trap with Ms. Richardson and remembers her movie mom very fondly. Perhaps if more people would reach out to her and show her the way, she would be leading a healthier life. She has done better now that she's with Samantha. They have their crazy moments but they seem to really care for one another. Hope for the best for you Lindsay! No matter what they say, you are beautiful and talented so don't ever give up your dreams!
Saw 'The Parent Trap' again the other day - could hardly believe it was the same person!
Great...
